Riu Palace Peninsula Cancun

There is only one thing to do when your boss takes you out to lunch, tells you they are making some changes, and gives you a severance package-  spend part of it the week before starting the new job.
Patti and I booked a last minute vacation to Cancun and stayed at the Riu Palace Peninsula.  We had an adults only villa suit.  A private villa infinity pool was part of the deal.  The room was fine and had a Jacuzzi on the balcony.  The ocean view was only so-so.  If the view is most important stay in the main building on an upper floor.
One of the highlights was the service we received in the main buffet.  Samel and his assistant made us feel like family and actually watched for us every night.  They were so good we only went to a specialty restaurant once.
The front desk was extremely helpful in trying to help me resolve a wifi issue.  The problem was with my lap top.
I highly recommend this resort.
